Demonstration Workshop in Nuuk, Greenland

The UIA project team, alongside consortium partners, showcased key results from BlueRev’s pioneering work on social innovation, governance, and sustainable business models during a demonstration workshop held in Nuuk. The event brought together a diverse range of stakeholders, including Royal Greenland, fish processing representatives, and small business owners, to review insights from pilot regions and discuss pathways for scaling and adapting the developed models.

The workshop ignited dynamic discussions on critical themes such as fostering entrepreneurial mindsets, rethinking side-stream products as valuable resources rather than waste, and identifying new markets for emerging entrepreneurs. Participants also emphasised the importance of consumer education to increase the value of by-products, the need for stronger collaboration across the value chain, and the role of financial and regulatory support in enabling innovation.

The workshop underscored the momentum behind sustainable and inclusive development in the region, highlighting practical strategies to ensure long-term impact.
